Use your skills to help change the world

With applications now open for this year’s Vodacom Change the World programme, skilled and experienced South Africans are offered an opportunity to volunteer their time at a non-profit organisation (NPO) for a year.

It can be in education, caring for the elderly or any other social cause that can help make a difference in our country.

SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG – The NPO benefits from a skilled resource, which they would not have been able to afford, while the volunteer also grows and develop through this life changing experience. “Through the Vodacom Change the World programme, volunteers are afforded a unique opportunity to do something close to their hearts whilst imparting their much needed skills and expertise. If you would like to do the same, apply today,” says Maya Makanjee, chief officer corporate affairs at Vodacom.

In 2013 more than 1 200 people applied to join the Vodacom Change the World programme. If you feel you have what it takes to change the world, then now’s the time to apply to be one of the 2014 volunteers. You will need to approach an NPO and gain its support and agreement on your role, goals and monthly salary, then apply online at www.vodacomctw.co.za. Applications close on  March 31.
