Hospice will benefit from golf day

Proceeds this year will be donated to Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services in Newmarket Park in Alberton.

ALBERTON – Management and residents of the prestigious Meyersdal Eco Estate in Alberton will be hosting their inaugural Charity Golf Day on Thursday February 27 at the Glenvista Country Club.

“We feel it is time to reach out to our immediate community where a need has been identified and hopefully we can make a difference,” says Rean Booysen, developer of the Eco Estate. “Our residents are pulling together and this golf day will be a team effort from all parties concerned,” he says.

Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services is the first of this kind of service in the greater Alberton area. Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services receives no government funding and is totally reliant upon the generosity of the community, public sector and fundraising events.

This golf day, with the main sponsor being Rawson Properties, is scheduled to become an annual event.

Cost is R3 000 per four-ball and this includes a gift, halfway house and prize-giving dinner. Format is a four-ball alliance, two scores to count and spectacular prizes are up for grabs. T-boxes, with sponsorships ranging between R2 000 and R5 000, can also be sponsored.
