Sustainable health in the 21st century

Interesting talk for first SUL meeting.

KIBLER PARK – KlipSA’s Sustainable Urban Living (SUL) next talk will be held on Thursday February 13, 18:30 for 19:00 at Entrance Precinct, Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park. R30 per person (includes tea, coffee and light snacks).

For the first talk in 2014 Jane Mackenzie will be the guest speaker, talking about Sustainable health in the 21st century. Since her days as a pharmacist she has completed a full 360 cycle and has found that true health lies in our diet, much of which can be grown in your own garden, mostly for preventing illness and disease in the first place, but often the best remedies to ailments as well. Modern healthcare has become one of the world’s most lucrative industries, and in our economic growth focused society, the media and social norms bombard us with misinformation regarding health and nutrition, and illness prevention is barely mentioned.

In this talk Jane will unravel modern healthcare and suggest how we can make more informed choices about the food that we eat, how to grow mineral and nutrient dense food, discuss super foods and super herbs for radiant health as well as provide answers to some of your nutritional questions.

RSVP essential: sul@klipsa.org.za (only 50 seats available).
