Three arrested after high speed chase

CPS Security members made yet another arrest possible when they caught three suspects in a high speed chase.

NEW REDRUTH – A high speed chase took place in Jacqueline and Bodmin streets in New Redruth, after CPS Security members spotted a suspicious white VW Golf 5 GTI.

The vehicle contained three black males and after the suspects spotted CPS Security following them, the front and back passengers ducked so that they could not be seen.

CPS Security members managed to pull the vehicle over and the three suspects were apprehended.

On investigation numerous car breaking implements such as allan keys, computer boxes, jamming devices, knives and keys were found in the vehicle. The tools were said to be for working on Fortuners and Poloā€™s.

Crimes such as these are becoming the norm in the Randhart, Raceview, Southcrest, Meyersdal and New Redruth areas.

The three suspects (of which one was smirking and who offered a bribe of R1 000) were detained by SAPS members with the assistance of the EMPD K9 unit.
