A group of women had taken advantage of clients in Alberton Mall and were arrested on December 14.

They offered customers 50 percent discount on the clothes or goods they wanted to buy.

A community member explained that it is a continuous trend and that it is not because security isn’t tight but simply because people need to be more aware of the dangers they may be up against while shopping.

Lions trumps Russian Bears

MTN Golden Lions played their first match in the then much anticipated Lions Challenge. Russia played good solid rugby and took nothing for granted.

The eastern block team received two yellow cards and had to play some game time with 13 to 14 players which the Lions could use to their advantage.

The additional match played in January 26 at Ellis Park where the Cheetahs had prepared for the 2013 Super Rugby Campaign.
