While other officers made sure that Tata Nelson Mandela was buried in peace and the State heads from other countries and everyone is safe Capt Morudu and Capt Mphalo were in charge of an operation at Alberton area.
The following members W/O Mzimvubu, W/O Mokoena, Sgt Thangwana, Sgt Nkuna, Sgt Mukosi, Const Mgedezi, Const Mphithi, Const Muronga and other three members from Brackendowns worked the operation. The above members together with Shift A, Shift B and Shift C manage to arrest 30 suspects for different crimes committed at Alberton SAPS area.
The crime ranges from being drunk in public, crimen injuria, fraud, business robbery, dealing with liquor without a licence, shoplifting, reckless and negligence driving, malicious damage to property, negligent handling of firearm, discharging of firearm, assault. The following were confiscated during the weekend dagga, firearms with ammunitions , liquor and knife. We are proud of this members who are keeping Alberton safe.
On Wednesday 2013-12-18 the following members const Mabala and R/Const Matomane were doing their normal patrol duties when they recovered a stolen Toyota corolla that was stolen in Pretoria.
This a success for Alberton SAPS a stolen vehicle was recovered. We thank our members who are always on high alert checking for stolen vehicle keep up the good work.
