A nightmare hijacking for mom and son

Four suspects hijack a vehicle in Alrode

ON Wednesday November 27, Mrs Shilields and her son were waiting in her vehicle at the gate of her workshop for the security to open at Dekenah Street Alrode, when four suspects approached her.

Three of the four went in front of the vehicle while the other went to the passenger side, stood by the door, pulled out a firearm, showed it to them and instructed them not to do anything.

The suspect informed them that he is taking the vehicle and Mrs Shilields and her son immediately got out from the car. All suspects entered the vehicle and drove away.

A case has been opened and there is no arrest yet. A description of the car has been circulated.

Members of the public need to be aware of their surroundings at all time and that if they see any unknown people next to their yards, call the police to come and check. Also, call security or whoever is in the yard to open for you so that you avoid stopping at the gate. Always cooperate with the instructions given by suspects as that may save your life.
