Krejcir link nabbed in Kibler Park

Krejcir and associate, Desai Lupondo, were arrested on Friday and made a brief court appearance at the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court on Monday November 25.

KIBLER PARK – Immigration officials and the Hawks have arrested a German fugitive believed to be a close friend of arrested Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir.

According to SABC News, “Willi Breuer was arrested at his Kibler Park home on Tuesday afternoonĀ November 26.”

Breuer has reportedly been an illegal immigrant in South Africa for the past eight years.

The 61-year-old German businessman had reportedly secured a private audience with President Jacob Zuma at his Johannesburg home last September, where he promised to invest millions of rands in municipalities through waste , projects.

Breuer is being held at the Lindela Immigration Centre in Gauteng’s West Rand.

Home Affairs head of inspectorate, Modiri Mathews, confirms that they received the information that Breuer was in the country, illegally.

Matthews was quoted to have said, “There were reports that he had a meeting with the President despite his status not being lawful in this country.”

Mathews adds that the Hawks initiated an investigation to confirm who he was and what his status in South Africa is.

“And we can confirm that he’s in the country illegally. We managed to trace him and once we managed to locate his address, we went and effected an arrest.”

The Hawks will be effecting Breuerā€™s deportation.

According to Mathews, Breuer is now in the custody of Home Affairs. He says the Hawks will be effecting Breuerā€™s deportation.

Earlier, police refused to disclose the location of the two officers from the Hawks who have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping and assault incident involving Krejcir.

The two warrants officers from the Germiston Organised Crime Unit were taken into custody on Tuesday.
