RANDHART – Gavin Wilkins, a resident of Randhart, Alberton, on Sunday October 27 took the championship for Senior Eliminator National & Regional Drag Racing in his blue Ford Mustang.
This is the second year in a row that Gavin has won both these titles in his class. The Ford Mustangs top speed is 293km/h over a standing 400m in 7.836 seconds. Gavin has been racing since 1994 and has made a name for himself in the car and racing industry in different cars such as the Ford Capri and the Ford Sierra.
Gavin also owns his own company in Alrode South where he does services and builds up engines for different cars as well as conversions.
