Alberton – Anton Oosthuizen who lives in Raceview Alberton has experienced major difficulty with his prepaid meter.
“On Thursday, the contractors for Ekurhuleni came out and were fixing something by the power box,” explains Anton.
The problem could not be sorted and the electricity of Anton’s home with one additional home was completely out.
The incident was reported during that week on Friday October 25 and the Ekurhuleni representative attempted to switch on the power box but this was followed by a loud explosion and everything went completely out.
The main box for the prepaid meter is totally non-operational and the wires have been bypassed in order for him to have electricity.
His electronic plug in devices have been damaged such as: hi-fi, DSTV, TV, DVD player and some of the lighting too.
