Launch of the Perfect Collection

ALBERTON – Ascot Bedding and Furniture launched their new house-brand beds and pillows – Perfect Collection, on October 23 at Ligstad in Alberton.

Leopold Dussing (CEO) said, “The beds are exactly what the name suggests. We have created these beds for perfect sleep and it is absolutely the ultimate, and nothing can beat it … perfect everything.”

The brand is unique to Ascot and therefore staff members, partners and suppliers with their better halves were invited to the special occasions. “Blood, sweat and tears went into creating the Perfect Collection, but everything worked out in the end,” said Leopold.

All the mattresses were recreated from scratch and there is no comparison to these beds, not even to other Ascot beds.

The feather is an icon for Perfect Collection. History indicates that the earliest beds were cloth sacks filled with feathers, so Ascot has an association, while others relate to songs like John Denver and ‘grandmas old feather bed’.

In simplicity this brand has an icon that reflects something associated visually that creates instant recognition to the core business model.

This collection has been registered and trademarked so Ascot has the upper hand and owns the name ‘Perfect Collection’ in the bedding industry.

The white feather represents purity … but goes further. It’s pure, natural and is of perfect form and shape and serves a purpose of protecting from the outside and inside, creating warmth when required and likewise coolness by being able to breathe and is flexible to move.

Physical attributes are that its light, soft, flexible, reverts back to its original shape and is waterproof. At the end of the day, it’s just a nice icon to be associated with a nice brand.
