Success while scoring a goal

Giving back to the community

A SPLENDID day of activity at the Glen shopping centre with Netcare, Centrum, SA Emergency, Jacaranda FM’s Paul Rotherham, Union Casualty and city of Johannesburg Representative Jaco Steenkamp on the top parking.

The Union Hospital had given back to the community with the idea to get everyone together from all different medical services. The day had started with all the teams standing together with “rival” faces on ready to brace the moment they so needed to for the challenge of the day.

The Glen Shopping centre not only provided the venue but also sponsored the food and drinks. Netcare provided their share, supplying bottled water for the team members and guests who came to view the activity challenge.

An obstacle course included rope pulling, hammer hitting and all of this had to be done in sequence from team member to team member while having a baton in hand. Thereafter, running through the various structured poles and save Rescue Randy (the dummy/doll), which had to be dragged thirty metres across the obstacles.
