Cupcakes for kids with cancer

Many cupcakes were sold all over the south to raise funds for Cupcakes of Hope.

Supakids party shop in Alberton was one of the many places which raised funds for Cupcakes of Hope on September 27 and 28.

They sold cupcakes not only to raise money, but also to raise awareness for children with cancer. The cupcakes sold at R10 each and in one day Supakids managed to raise R650 for the first few hours.

“With us being a kid’s party shop, it just works so well with the money we raise and who we raised it for, it just makes sense, and to help out is a good feeling,” said Kim Grimes and Robyn Anderson, staff at Supakids.

The staff and owners of the shop, together with their bakers baked cupcakes and used money from their own pockets to bake them.

Supekids are situated at shop 2B, New Redruth Village, St Austell Street.
