South sets the record for donated car seats

A total of eighty eight car seats were collected at The Glen Shopping Centre.

IMPERIAL I Pledge Car Seats for Kids Campaign, were at The Glen Shopping Centre on Wednesday October 2 and collected the highest amount of car seats so far, a grand total of 88. Imperial I Pledge, 94.7 and Wheelwell are working in conjunction with this project and each day over a two week period they are out and about in the Johannesburg and Pretoria areas.
“We had a great day at The Glen on Wednesday and the South’s community really played their part in this worthwhile campaign, donating 88 car seats in total! This is the best so far and has set a target for the rest of Johannesburg and Pretoria to equal or beat,” said Bruce Smuts from Imperial I Pledge. Once the campaign has finished, the car seats will be made SANBS approved and they will be refurbished. Then they will be handed out to needy people who can’t afford to buy a car seat for their child.  * We will keep you informed when the hand-out will take place in the South.
