Resident asked to move meter box

Dennis henning, a Brackendowns resident had a recent request from the Council to move his meter box, which is placed inside his property, to be moved outside.

The Council had informed him the cost of this would be R1 500 after it was said to be a community project regardless.
“Every third, or second month, they just take an estimate reading due to their complaint about not having access to my meter,” said Dennis.

Though he went on to explain, “They come through and always say no one is available by walking off without question.”
His main concern was the false claim that they had no access to his meter, and when they had started the project, they told him, their funds had run out. Now, they are telling Dennis he should pay before they consider moving the meter to the outside of his house.
