Ladies fundraise for Door of Hope

EL Bethel Fellowship church Ladies’ ministry in Turffontein will be hosting a fundraising drive which has aims to reach out to the needs of abandoned children.

The Esther Love Campaign has partnered with Door of Hope to assist with an undertaking of saving abandoned babies and with the outstanding work that they are doing by raising NAN and NAPPIES that will keep them going for at least 6 months.

Ladies Ministry of the El Bethel church believe that speaking about making a difference has no impact without action. That is why “Esther” their ladies ministry, has chosen to partner with the Glenvista based organisation.

“Door of Hope understands the needs of the community and has tapped into a necessity where they focus on rescuing abandoned babies; who are either wrapped in newspaper or discarded into bins or toilets. El Bethel believes that calling on the community to help, a “Mother Teresa” will help people in this region remember that there still is good in this world; we just have to look around and remind ourselves that we too can make a difference. And this is what the Esther Love Campaign wants to do; remind everyone that you can change things with love, one at a time,” said the Pastors.

The Esther Love Campaign, as a result, wants to urge all individuals and corporates to partner with them on this journey to make a difference in the lives of these babies. Their goal is to collect and raise funds for at least 600 Nan and 600 Nappies that will be handed over to Door of Hope on December 15.

The donation requirements are either Huggies or Pampers for newborn babies and babies who are six months; this will fulfil the greatest needs on behalf of the babies.

El Bethel ladies have also partnered with various local Spar supermarkets in the southern areas that have become drop-off points for the convenience of the public. These Spar shops will have our “Love Boxes” in their shops, where residents can hand in their contributions.
Residents who are interested in donating what Door of Hope needs can go to the following Spar’s assisting in the campaign: Turffontein KwikSpar (near Ascot Cosmetics), Bassonia Spar and Maggie’s KwikSpar in Mulbarton.

As a sponsor you have an option to either use our drop-off points or go into our El Bethel Fellowship website: www.elbethelfellowship.co.za where you can click on Esther and this will take you into our www.givengain.com/activist/103613/projects/5945 where residents can donate funds towards this cause.
