KIBLER PARK: Volunteers from The Santa Shoebox Project were at The Glen Shopping Centre on Saturday September 28, encouraging shoppers to support this worthy cause. The Santa Shoebox project collects and distributes gifts at Christmas time to underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia, especially in rural areas.
Children in the South of Johannesburg will also be receiving gifts this Christmas and you are invited to make up a shoebox, filled with
various items (toothpaste and brush, bar of soap, an outfit of clothing, educational supplies, sweets and a toy).
Register online at www.santashoebox.co.za, select one recipient or more by name, decorate and fill your shoebox according to guidelines and drop off during National Drop off week.
The closet Drop Off point for Southerners is Kibler Park Recreation Centre, Peggy vera Road, Kibler Park between Friday October 25 and Sunday
October 27 from 09:00 to 17:00. Remember, make a child happy this Christmas and make up a shoebox.
