Dancing star of the season

Girl climbs the dancing ladder

An interview with Alberton’s new dancing sensation, Jayne Beytell (13) has proven to be an inspiration for novice dancers. She has been dancing since February of this year and has excelled in all major dance categories. The Dance to Be Wild Competition was where she lifted to the top with three trophies handed to her for Ballroom, Latin and Speciality. At the Gauteng Civic theatre she received two first places, one second place which consisted of Ballroom (first place), Latin (first place) and a medal for speciality all in the month of June.
On the last Saturday of the month in August, she received six gold medals for all divisions for the Dance with me Competition. The last competition (Jakaranda Competition), challenged her to the max and she received a trophy for Latin, speciality and first for single.
In one incident which proved to be her success story of the hour was when she had to learn a dance that was not part of her division: learnt in two minutes… she nailed it and she received first place!
