Koos, who has been in the training business for 50 years, encouraged the Business Forum audience to realise they are each different with unique strengths and abilities. He divided the group into four, based on their personality traits. Each group had to write down four likes and dislikes. He explained how to approach each group in a different way depending on their personalities, and then related this to business clients.
Even though each person has a “home base” where he or she is comfortable, we can all operate in the other personality areas, and we need to adapt to other people and take them into consideration. “Be tolerant of others’ differences.”
Koos says: “If the customer is not in your heart, your business will suffer.”
The Junior Business Forum concept was introduced and will be launched later this year. Isobel Venter will lead this initiative to inform young people about the business opportunities in Alberton.
