Officers helping out at the Sassa pay points.
The Gauteng Traffic Department and CPS Security paid spot visits at the various Sassa pay points on March 30.
“This was to create awareness, assist the public and enforce the basic rules regarding Covid-19,” said CPS sales director Tyrone van der Merwe.
Officers made sure that beneficiaries there to collect their grants kept a safe distance in the queues and helped pensioners in need.
“We need to look after not only our community but the elderly too,” van der Merwe said.
