GALLERY: Ampath medical exhibition well attended

AMPATH Laboratories hosted their fifth exhibition in Mulbarton Medical Centre on February 22 to create awareness about the services offered by Ampath Laboratories.

Ampath provides pathology-related services to healthcare practitioners, their patients and community. Their services include clinical laboratory investigations that assist doctors in the diagnosis and management of their patients.

The awareness to the healthcare practitioners, their patients and community highlighted conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer, etc.

“We are also highlighting the laboratory processes involved in providing a quality and accurate result. This is shown by virtual laboratory exhibitions, educational posters and reading material,” said Pam Rajman, area manager for Ampath.

In addition, the Ampath’s training department provided practical techniques of blood drawing to nursing staff.

“It was a well-attended event with interest from the hospital staff, and walk-in patients, particularly children, expressed interest with the perspective of career planning. The exhibition was open to the public as it has always been,” said Rajman.
