GALLERY: Nostalgia Fair a hit

The variety of items on sale at the stalls is almost too wide to list.

THE recent Nostalgia Fair, held at Jackson Dam, was great fun and sold a wide enough variety of items where everybody could walk away with a satisfying buy. Not to mention the delicious food that was sold.

It was your textbook fair with plenty of diverse stalls and people everywhere. Upbeat local music was playing on big speakers and this, combined with the tranquil dam close by, created a cheerful, relaxed Saturday atmosphere.

SAUCES: This stall had delicious homemade hot sauces up for sale.

The variety of items on sale at the stalls is almost too wide to list. Some of the food stalls sold home-made sweets, puddings, pancakes, jaffles and boerewors rolls. There was also a stall selling preserves and home-made sauces.

Non-edible items on sale included hand-made dollhouses, previously loved clothing, second-hand books, plants, ornaments, hand-made jewellery and wind chimes, colourful décor for inside the house as well as garden décor, and the list goes on.

JEWELLERY: Each one of these necklaces was hand-made with love and care.

The Animal Protection Network also had a stall there, selling bits and bobs of all sorts. All profits went towards their cause – protecting and saving animals in our communities.

What a wonderful event with wonderful, friendly people. The community looks forward to supporting similar events in the future – especially if there are delicious pancakes again.

APN: The Animal Protection Network team, along with one of their beautiful rescued doggies, smiles for the camera behind their stall.
WIND CHIMES: The home-made windchimes made from re-used materials were a big hit amongst buyers.
PANCAKES: This is where the Nostalgia Fair’s delicious pancakes were expertly made. Yum!
A BUSY EVENT: Jackson Dam was decorated with a wide variety of stalls. You were sure to happen upon a bargain buy here!
