Power out in Verwoerdpark
Power to Verwoerdpark has been interrupted so that Ekurhuleni technicians can investigate a mysterious sound coming from a substation.
According to Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality spokesperson, Themba Gadebe, the power supply to Verwoerdpark has been interrupted. EMM technicians reportedly identified an alarming sound while inspecting a nearby substation and are currently carrying out investigations to identify the source of the noise.
The results of the investigation will be used to determine the kind of interventions required to prevent future technical glitches at the substation. “The EMM wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused. Power is expected to be restored on Tuesday by approximately 14:00,” Gadebe stated.
