Om Die Dam Marathon

THE popular Om die Dam Ultra Marathon has been awarded a prestigious Gold Label by the sport’s international governing body.

The 50km run around Hartbeespoort Dam is the second ultra-marathon in South Africa to be awarded IAU Gold Label status. The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon was the first to achieve it in 2010.

Old Mutual Om-die-Dam Ultra Marathon will take place on Saturday, 12 March and is the largest inland ultra-marathon in South Africa, offering a 50km ultra marathon, a 21km half-marathon, a 10km route and a 5km fun run. Due to its scenic route via Hartbeespoort Dam and its family appeal, the race is consistently voted as one of the top national races.
