The letter was from a resident thanking the police and armed response companies for the good service she received after she and her friends were held up and robbed at home.
The incident occurred after they had ordered pizzas and while they were being delivered by the pizza company or Mr Delivery the criminals entered the home.
A similar thing happened to friends of ours also in the Alberton area.
This is obviously the new modus operandi of these criminals as they find the house exposed when the resident opens up to collect their order. The criminals must be following the delivery vehicle or bike from the shop and strike when the order is delivered.
People must please be vigilant and I hope this doesn’t negatively impact the pizza business or any fast food delivery outlets.
