Southern racing drivers reign supreme

Adrian Dalton and Wayne Lebotschy Shield, both residents of Glenvista, heated up the Midvaal Raceway.

GLENVISTA residents, Adrian Dalton, in his XTRA Clothing Golf 8V, and Wayne Lebotschy, in his Shield Chemicals Golf 8V, heated up the Midvaal Raceway on Saturday, September 12.

The adrenaline-packed day was filled with close racing with the Southerners finishing first and second respectively in Class B of the competitive modified production car series with Dalton even mixing it up with the Class A boys.

Dalton and Lebotschy along with Ray Wilford of VW Challenge and Westbank V8 fame, also produced amazing results at the prestigious Phakisa two hour last month, finishing second and fourth overall for the day and first and second in Class B.

Dalton won the Index Trophy on the day and is leading the championship with Lebotschy hot on his heels.

The Inland Championship moves to Zwartkops on Saturday, October 17, and will make for an exciting day of racing with the Yokohama modified production cars, Sports Racing Association, Silverton Bolt and Nut Club Champs, Formula Monoposto, SA Mechanical Seals Alfa Trofeo, 250 Superkarts, Liqui Moly Legends Championship, Silver Cup series and Sub 10 Superbikes.
