The two victims of the N12 attack are recovering

Victims of the attack on the N12 are recovering in hospital.

ALBERTON – TWO passengers were hit by bricks thrown by a pedestrian at the side of the N12 West, just before the Glen. on April 30.

Caden Slabbert (8) and Marionette Swab (42), who were travelling in two different vehicles are in hospital and recovering from head injuries.

At the times of publishing Marionette’s doctors were bringing her out of an induced coma for short periods of time. According to Darrel Badenhorst, Marionette’s boyfriend, the doctors are pleased that she is moving when she is semi-awake.

According to Darrel, doctors said that she is fighting and that is a good sign.

Caden has been taken off his coma inducing medication and has woken up.

A man matching the description of the attacker was spotted throwing bricks onto Second Avenue, in Alberton North, on May 7.

He was detained by SOG security personnel and transported to the Alberton SAPS.

The suspect has been taken in for questioning, but no positive identification has been made.

Family members of the victims ask that if anyone witnessed the attack on the N12 they should come forward.
