Criminals stalk charity workers

Opening Doors charity founders and Alberton residents Mr and Mrs Stewart have urged the public to be vigilant when driving.

The couple were victims to car thieves in December last year, when the bakkie they use to make food parcel deliveries was stolen.

The two pensioners now use their Toyota Venture to deliver foodstuffs to various feeding schemes in Johannesburg South. While on their delivery route on Friday April 10, the Stewarts became aware that they were being followed by three people in a car. The car attempted to force them off the road and pursued them through Johannesburg. They did not see the license plate of the car that stalked them through the streets.

The couple have cautioned residents to be aware of their surroundings while driving.
