Bring law and order back into Alberton

I have numerous complaints where the EMPD should get involved and do their work.

Between 16:00 and 18:00 in Hart Avenue, Randhart taxis are creating chaos when driving on the pavements and wrong side of the road. The same goes for Michelle Avenue, Meyersdal, between 16:00 and 18:30, with taxis driving on the pavement.

This leads to pedestrians now walking in the street or in the veld to make way for taxis that will not stand in the queue like any other driver to wait for the traffic lights to turn. (I have footage of this).

The R59 /Swartkoppies on- and off-ramps are still huge problems, where taxis use the wrong lanes to get on or off the highway.

Corner Swartkoppies and Vermooten Street (going towards Johannesburg), where taxis use the left lane, which indicates that you can only turn left, to carry on straight into Swartkoppies. This results in a holdup of traffic that wants to turn left.

Du Plessis Road is chaos in the afternoon and taxis have no respect for other vehicles. They stop in any area between Ring Road and Second Avenue, and the rest of the road users must just wait until they are finished with their business.

Hennie Alberts Street, corner of Michelle Street, where people still use the left lane that can only be used for vehicles driving straight to the Eco estate to turn right in Michelle holding up traffic from both sides.

Taxis in Swartkoppies skip red lights between 16:00 and 18:30 – all of the above are daily occurrences and our EMPD does nothing about it.

My concern is where are our EMPD that is doing duty in Alberton, we have more that 500 EMPD members working in Ekurhuleni and we need some of them to bring law and order back to Alberton.
