Join the Thokoza cleaning campaign

The local municipality and various businesses in and around Thokoza have shown support for this campaign.

ALBERTON – A Small group of Thokoza’s youth have taken upon themselves to promoting cleanliness and revoking pride in the place they call home.

These young entrepreneurs, professionals and artists are inviting the community of Thokoza and surrounding places to participate in a cleaning campaign that will be taking place on Saturday January 31.

With just over 150 people that have already committed to participating on the cleaning campaign and a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/150243741690229/ with more than 1450 followers, the group is adamant about the success of the campaign.

The local Municipality and various businesses in and around Thokoza have also shown support for the campaign.

Ward 52 ANC Councillor Londi Nkosi said: “The campaign will not only help clean the township, but will also create a platform for more positive initiatives that the youth can explore in the near future.”

Ward 56 ANC Councillor, Sibongile Msibi is also in full support of the cleaning campaign and she is imploring all local businesses, artists, students and general residences to take part and show support.

The Cleaning Campaign will be starting on both sides of Khumalo Street from Madondo Street (Phenduka and from Yende Street, Ext1), working towards the Youth Centre, which will be the meeting point, and the drop-off zones will be the corner streets of Khumalo Street.
