Potholes everywhere

For more than a year I reported all the potholes in the above areas to the roads department, giving them all the street names and sent photos showing the department the potholes in these streets; to date most of them have not been fixed.

ALBERTON –  When they did repair some of these potholes they only filled it with tar, they did not do proper repairs. We have had so much of rain over the past two months that most of the potholes reopened and some of them just got bigger.

Motorists have to use the pavement or sidewalks to drive on as the potholes are so big. This is unacceptable, as the residents have to suffer due to non-service delivery by the metro. One street in Palmridge has actually sunk on the corner of Palmridge and Celtis streets, Palmridge.

Service delivery in the metro has gone from bad to worse. What does one have to do to get the metro to repair these potholes?

The ratepayers in the above areas should not suffer due to the inefficiency of the metro to deliver services.

There are a number of other services that are also not being delivered by the metro. For example, overgrown grass, trees not pruned, broken and blocked storm water drains, illegal dumping not being addressed and the streets are full of sand after the rains. These streets have never been cleaned.
