Rock thrower caught in Glenvista

The man was throwing rocks at passing motorists, hit one vehicle, breaking the window.

GLENVISTA – A young African man was caught by Glenvista Community Policing Forum members on Thursday December 18 on the corner of Laubscher Street and Bellairs Avenue, Glenvista ext 4, while he was trying to run away.

The man, who was walking down Michelle Avenue, towards Comaro Street, was throwing rocks at passing motorists. He hit one vehicle, breaking the window. The driver whose vehicle was hit drove away from the scene.

According to a member of the forum, SAPS has been called to the scene and the suspect is being held until they arrive.

Motorists are advised not to stop if rocks are thrown at their vehicle, but rather to drive to the nearest petrol station or public area to inspect the damage.
