Lungile Mtjali project cleans up New Redruth

New Redruth has been looking a lot cleaner thanks to Lungile Mtjali project, Cllr Haipel and Mr Viljoen.

THE group of workers, dressed in green overalls, form part of the Lungile Mtjali project, and with the guidance of Cllr Bruna Haipel and Mr Danie Viljoen, they have been cleaning New Redruth.

The group started the clean-up at the park located next to the Boma, and Cllr Haipel assures residents that they will be moving to other areas. “Unfortunately the ward is vast, and with the rainy season the weeds will grow very quickly so the residents will have to be patient, but I am confident that slowly they will make a difference to the ward,” Cllr Haipel explains.

She would like to thank the workers and encourage them to keep up the good work, she also says that it would be appreciated if the community shows their appreciation by waving and greeting the workers.
