Donate toys at Game The Glen

There's nothing more heartfelt than a smile that creeps across a child’s face.

ALBERTON – Few things can compare to the gurgle of excitement and squeal of delight when little fingers touch a new toy for the first time and on November 4, this became a reality for children in Johannesburg.

The Toy Story with Game initiative, kicked off on November 4 with its first toy distribution to New Beginnings Care Centre in Boksburg. For many of these little ones, these are the first new toys they will ever own.

Game’s Electronic Media Manager, Bernie Joshua, thanked Game customers when she commented: “We are blown away with the support our customers have given to this worthy project. They see that their contribution will make a significant difference in the lives of children who need it most, and we are truly humbled at the support we have received! We also hope our customers are enjoying the convenience that Game offers as collection and donation point, and look forward to seeing how many more toys we can collect before Christmas.”

Joining the volunteer team will be Jacaranda FM’s Barney Simon, who is looking forward to sharing the joy among the children, and members from The New Beginnings Foundation, the self-funded social entrepreneurial organisation that Game have partnered with to ensure that every toy donated goes straight into the arms of needy children in and around Pretoria.

You can make a difference by buying a new toy and dropping it off at Game The Glen Shopping Centre.
