Countdown to Charity Mile

Charity Mile will take place on Saturday November 1.

THE countdown to this year’s Charity Mile has started with the CSI project at the Turffontein racecourse.

The Charity Mile will take place on Saturday November 1 at Turffontein Racecourse. The famous 16 Horses, 16 Charities and 16 Celebrities prestigious event will attract some of the best in horseracing.

The tenth edition of Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile will be presented in conjunction with Racing, It’s A Rush at Turffontein racecourse. The event starts at 11:00.

The countdown commenced with a successful educational afternoon on Wednesday October 15, hosting some 30 learners together with celebrities such as Mrs SA, Sarah Kate Scot, Clive Maistry, Mr SA finalists and actresses Hayley Owen and Fiona Nay. They generously gave precious time to spend with learners from the Fortune Kunene Primary Aftercare.

The day’s event kicked off with special pampering for the children which included pony rides, face painting and a jumping castle. The children also enjoyed one on one interaction with the celebrities.
