Millions to be won in top slots tournament at Tsogo Sun

JOHANNESBURG – The Slots Factor is another big prize gaming tournament from Tsogo Sun, South Africa’s leading hotels, gaming and Entertainment Company, with 14 casinos and more than 90 hotels including Gold Reef City.
It is back by popular demand at all of its casinos around the country, offering a guaranteed R1.8 million in prize money, with the winner taking home a minimum of R1 million.
Taking place for the second time following its highly successful debut last year, Slots Factor brings the fast-paced action of this exciting slots tournament to Tsogo Sun’s casinos from July 21 to September 28. Qualifying rounds will be held every week for eight weeks, with semi-finals taking place at the various casinos on September 20, culminating in the grand final on the weekend of September 27 and 28.
This adrenalin-inducing weekend will see the top-placed slots finalists from each casino receiving complimentary travel to and accommodation at The Ridge Casino in eMalahleni (Witbank) to compete for the big R1 million first prize.
It’s a case of fastest finger first, with each heat taking just three minutes in the qualifying rounds and five minutes in the semi-finals and finals.
The tournament is designed for everyone, with a cash buy-in of just R100. Every cent of the buy-ins collected across the group contributes towards the prize money.
“Last year our guaranteed prize money went up to R2.2 million as the prize pool grew progressively bigger each week over the eight-week tournament,” says Steve Hight, Tsogo Sun’s Director of Gaming. “We believe this year could see a similar trend with the prize ending up bigger than the guaranteed R1.8 million.”
