JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Once again it has come to the Booysens Police’s attention that many domestic workers are not been informed about what is happening at their places of employment.
There have been numerous cases of house robberies reported this month, where the domestic worker allowed suspects onto the premises after the suspects informed them that they were there to do work on the house.
Home owners are encouraged to inform their helpers if they have made arrangements for builders, plumbers or any other persons to come to their premises.
“If someone comes to your premises, your helper should contact you personally before allowing them in.
“There are cases where this method has been used by suspects pretending to phone you and talk to you just to con your helper. Your helper must personally speak to you in such situations,” said Communication and Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik.
Why would anybody have a domestic these days . They just steal and work out how their friends can break into your house. Just do the housework yourself and dont be lazy
