Highly anticipated Gauteng Cup action

Reigning PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns will play Moroka Swallows from the South in the Gauteng Cup.This event will take place for the third time.

The Gauteng Cup will take place in Atterridgeville, Pretoria, on July 19 at Lucas Moripe Stadium and tickets are available at Computicket for R35 per ticket.

Kaizer Chiefs won the first two editions of the tournament, but has pulled out of this tournament, leaving an opening for another club.

The winners will take home a whopping R500 000.

The newly appointed MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation in Gauteng Ms Molebatsi Bopape has wished the players well for the tournament. She said,”It is fitting to wish all the players a fantastic Gauteng Cup tournament and an even better 2014/15 season.”

The first match is scheduled for 10:00 and the second match at 12:00 with the Final set for 16:00.
