Albertsdal mom wins Miss Diva Mom title
Junola Munsami is ready to use her Miss Diva Mom title to continue uplifting domestic abuse survivors.
The 42-year-old mother, wife, and grandmother, Junola Munsami (42), was officially crowned Miss Diva Mom 2024 on August 25.
The beauty pageant was held this past weekend at the Dros, Alberton and saw 11 contestants compete for the title.
Munsami’s journey to the throne was not without its challenges. As a seasoned model and beauty pageant contestant, she had previously held the second princess title for Mrs Sedibeng 2024 and competed in Mrs Universe Said 2024.
Now, she is ready to use her platform to reach out to abused and belittled women.
“Being a domestic abuse survivor means I’m a hero of my own story. I will reach women who have been abused and belittled and tell them God is in control of their situations and that I am living proof that they can escape that life.”
The pageant was more than just a competition. It was a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Munsami and the other contestants visited an old age home in Moffat View as part of their journey as participants.
“It was an awesome experience. We danced, gave some exercises, and handed out goodie bags, cupcakes with scripture, and fruit snacks,” said Munsami.
