Brackenhurst Primary learners explore possibilities

Brackenhurst Primary School learners recently had a chance to think creatively, develop business skills and explore the possibilities of starting their own business ventures.

Brackenhurst Primary School recently held an Entrepreneurs Day, which focused on fostering entrepreneurship among learners.

The school holds the day during the third term as part of the curriculum.

The Grade Seven learners were divided into 21 groups. Teachers were allocated to help them with planning Entrepreneurs Day.

The groups came up with their business names and products to sell and advertised their business during the weeks preceding the day.

All Grade Sevens were allowed to wear civvies on the day, and the learners were encouraged to dress up in their themes. On the day, all groups set up their stalls and other grades were allowed to buy products.

Almost all the groups sold out their products.
