Tymicah Naidoo, an up-and-coming singer from Meyersdal, has been taking the South African music scene by storm.
The 22-year-old has recently released her debut single, Forgetting You.
The passion she has for soulful music has inspired her to make music of different genres including house music, which is her current focus.
Music is a beautiful melody and a lyric that resonates with a listener on a personal level; this describes Tymicah’s approach to making music. “Without music, life would be very dull. Music can teach, inspire or simply make you dance,” Tymicah said.
She is studying actuarial sciences but hopes to focus on music full-time.
Tymicah was featured on SABC 3’s Espresso show and released a house song called Come find me during August, which is available on Spotify.
Her goal is to represent South Africa on a global stage as she is now performing around Cape Town.
“South Africa is a country rich with art and artists. I would love to be a part of that through my music. I also appreciate all the support I have received within SA,” Tymicah said.
