Soul Café opens its doors to serve the community

Visit a coffee shop with a delectable menu that offers a tranquil setting away from the hustle and bustle.

Inspired by a book, Soul Café – The Art of Living officially opened its door to the Alberton community.

The dream of the coffee shop was a long time coming. It has operated since April 2023 only on Sundays, creating a space for the Verwoerdpark Gemeente congregation to fellowship after service.

The planning of the café continued during this time, and the menu had additional items added to it.

Ghisnene Müller and Johan Zaayman’s opening remarks were, “It has been a dream for a long time, and we are thankful God made it possible.”

Soul Café is a place of community where people can break away and enjoy food and drinks from the mouth-watering menu with Bible names incorporated into it. The shop is open from Tuesday to Sunday, and the public is welcome.

Müller, Zaayman, Chris Britz and the wonderful team work together to ensure the café serves the community while creating a tranquil atmosphere and upholding the Biblical reference where Jesus fellowshipped over food.

Soul Café’s launch saw NG Verwoerdpark Gemeente members and the Alberton community come out to support it, witness the cutting of the ribbon and enjoy a taste of the menu.
