Nova Pioneer Ormonde High School honours outstanding achievements

Nova Pioneer Ormonde High School's Class of 2023 shone brightly at their recent valediction ceremony as remarkable achievements were celebrated, from academic excellence to outstanding contributions in leadership and innovation.

Nova Pioneer Ormonde High School celebrated the class of 2023’s accomplishments at its annual valediction event on November 16.

The ceremony was a testament to the academic excellence and outstanding achievements of the learners in their International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS Level) and Advanced Levels (A Levels).

During the event, the school acknowledged and awarded learners who excelled in various categories, highlighting their commitment to excellence, leadership, and innovation.

The school recognised the recipients of the culture awards for their exceptional contributions to its cultural values:

• Joy of learning: Jabez Davids

• Servant leadership: Rapelang Molubi

• Greater together: Neo Mafatlana

• High expectations: Kewell Moodley

• Always growing: Kmi Canham.

The school celebrated achievements.

Additionally, the school presented special awards to learners who demonstrated exemplary qualities and stood out in their respective fields:

• Pushing boundaries award: Pharrell Duiker

• Phokopela trendsetter award: Ungowakho Madolo

• Chinezi Chijioke founder’s award: Arjun Thulsie

• Leadership and innovation award: Ungowakho Madolo

• Principal’s award: Neo Mafatlana.

These awards not only recognise academic achievements but also applaud the learners’ dedication to personal growth, leadership, and pushing the boundaries of innovation. The school community commended each recipient for their efforts and contribution to making the school a centre of excellence.

Marjorie Meyers, the high school dean of learners, was proud of the class of 2023.
