Making 200 children safer in cars at The Glen
Wheel Well ‘Car Seats for Kids’ will be handing out more than 200 car seats to visitors.
IN preparation of the upcoming holidays, Wheel Well ‘Car Seats for Kids’ will be handing out more than 200 car seats to visitors at The Glen Shopping Centre from 09:00 to 16:00 on Saturday June 21.
The activation forms part of a greater emergency services event, and visitors will be able to find the Wheel Well stand on the roof parking near the management offices.
The Wheel Well programme was founded by Peggie Mars and is supported by Cartrack, a leading vehicle tracking and stolen vehicle recovery provider. The sole purpose of the programme is to collect car seats from donors that are cleaned, checked for defects, refurbished and made available to needy families at no cost. These families are then encouraged to perpetuate the cycle, once their children have outgrown their car seats.
