A bit of warmth for winter

Paul James Hairdressing, Caxton South newspapers, Ascot bedding and the Spar on Main Street in Rosettenville along with members of the public made it possible to bless less fortunate people in our community with a little warmth just before the cold front hit.

ALBERTON – Members of Paul James Hairdressing and Caxton South newspapers distrubuted some blankets to the homeless and the less fortunate on June 3. They went out onto the street and distributed blankets to the homeless in the Alberton area.
The rest of the blankets were donated to AMCARE and Ligstad, who will distribute blankets to those families they work with.
AMCARE distributed the blankets on June 5, some of the members of Caxton South had the oppertunity to go along and help with the distribution.
The Alberton RECORD, Comaro CHRONICLE, and Southern COURIER would like to thank all those involved, who helped make the blanket drive a reality.
If members of the community still want to donate blankets, they are welcome to contact Alida from Ligstad 079 693 3666 or AMCARE social worker Ruth 082 449 5201 or Marihet Infantino 082 4495210.
