Vodacom behind Buccaneers’ Quest In seeking silver

Orlando Pirates would like to add silver this season to their cabinet.

A wave of Orlando Pirates fans is descending on Durban ahead of the Buccaneers’ Nedbank Cup Final clash against Bidvest Wits on Saturday May 17 at the Moses Mabhida stadium. This is their fourth cup final of the season, and a victory over Gavin Hunt’s Students will surely be a worthwhile success after a hard campaign.

If Pirates win they will qualify to represent South Africa in the CAF Confederations Cup next season and get a chance to add to their continental conquest of 1995, when they famously won the CAF Champions League.

“We would like to win the Nedbank Cup this season and this is our biggest opportunity,” said the Buccaneers captain, Lucky Lekgwathi.

Proud sponsors of Pirates, Vodacom, will also be there to get the fans involved in building up the atmosphere in the lead up to the match.

“What a finale it would be to the season for the mighty Bucs to lift the trophy,” said Rowen Gangulu, Sponsorship Manager: Vodacom. ‘Everyone from Vodacom wishes them the best of luck. We support them all the way.”

Fans should also continue participating in the ongoing social media competition to win tickets with a magnificent hamper of goodies.

“As usual, our supporters have been amazing throughout the season and we are desperate to give them a happy ending,” said Pirates’ public relations manager, Mickey Modisane.”Together with our partners, Vodacom, we have been building up a fantastic vibe to take into the match, and hopefully it will spur the boys on to victory.”

Orlando Pirates fans and Vodacom customers stand a chance of winning great prizes and match tickets on Vodacom social platforms such as:
