Alberton SAPS arrest suspected robber

A Nigerian male was caught on May 14 who tried to shoot a business owner.

ALBERTON – A suspect was arrested for business robbery on May 14 at around 9:00 at a construction company in Alberton North.

Six suspects entered the company driving a Ford Bantam and approached the owner and pointed a firearm at him.

They demanded rings, a Rolex watch, laptops and phones.

One of the suspects tried to shoot the owner but the firearm jammed. The crime office detectives tracked the phone to Hillbrow and the victim identified one suspect and the car on the pavement where the tracker lead them to.

The suspect ran away when he noticed the police. The car was confiscated and the owner arrested. The suspect is a 44-year-old Nigerian male, Martins Nkem Kpaliku.

  1. Hope when the reporter left they put the robber on his knees and shot him . That’s what they deserve . No prisoners just dead robbers . Saves the public money . Maybe you could get sponsors for each bullet used to kill a robber . Companies could say “this robber shot with a bullet sponsored by Standard bank”
