Off-ramps pose dangers to motorists

Brackendowns SAPS advise drivers to drive carefully on the R59 highway.

“Drivers on the R59 highway near the Swartkoppies, Eden Park or Thokoza off-ramps should be aware that rocks are placed across the road as they are driving around the curves in the road,” said WO Gerhard Cornelius from Brackendowns SAPS.

According to him, motorists are attacked after they stop to investigate. There has been an incident where a motorist observed another vehicle being attacked.

“We encourage motorists to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity to their local security company or SAPS,” he said.
