GLENVISTA – The black male is thought to be overweight with gold fillings in his mouth and he is often used as the pedestrian lookout, dropped off to watch the house which will be targeted.
The suspects are driving a Silver C Class Mercedes Benz but sometimes an older model white hatchback vehicle. It’s alleged they could also be using a red VW Golf as a load up vehicle.
Over the past two weeks it’s alleged they are responsible for at least six armed robberies in the above areas and usually strike at sunset during the week and weekends in the Glenvista and Mulbarton areas before driving off to Brackendowns later the same evening, targeting a victim not long after.
On Friday May 9 at 17:42 the suspects targeted a home in Farnham Drive, Mulbarton. They were driving the silver Mercedes which had false registration plates – WRG 991GP, at that particular time.
They drew up behind the vehicle which was exiting the property, blocking its way and proceeded to take the drivers cellphone and car keys. It’s alleged the suspects always take the car keys, but seldom the car. A case has been opened at Mondeor Police Station. Mondeor SAPS Special operations are being conducted concerning the vehicle.
