Service delivery is not delivered

As usual, no services rendered after having reported the issues via the Call Centre and on the Ekhuruleni website. The Call Centre takes 25 to 30 minutes to answer a call.

A call was placed on March 27, again on April 17 and again on April 22. Being a pensioner one cannot continue to waste calls when the Metro renders absolutely no service. My daughter logged a call on the website on April 9: Ref: 20140409083417×8000 in regard to the lights that are not working at the top of Hennie Alberts between Aandblom and Eekhoring as well as in Boerbok Street.

Neighbours have also reported the same issue to no avail, apparently 21 days is the normal turn-around time to repair these lights, how ridiculous. It is absolutely pitch dark in the street, a good place for harbouring unsavoury characters.

This was raised, amongst other issues, in my email dated April 1, and still nothing has been done to remedy the situation.

Firstly it is absolutely disgraceful that one waits for so long for the Call Centre to answer; if they do not have enough operators, why don’t they employ additional people to cover the complaints, clearly there are many.

So here we are again, no closer to any resolution, which is proof that there are “shadows” in the offices at Ekhuruleni Metro, and we are paying their salaries from taxpayer monies. What more can be done to try and have this attended to?

Don’t pay your rates and taxes account, or short pay the amount and one receives a final notice within a matter of days – why can’t the service be operated in the same manner, because there isn’t any to speak of!
